RE: Congratulations?

 Welcome to the Document Verification Department. You are now part of something much bigger than yourself: paperwork. 

Your role is simple, which is why we chose you:

A note arrives. A document arrives. If they match: ACCEPT. If they don't: DECLINE. Do not think about it longer than necessary. Thinking time is billed to your department. 

A few notes from HR: 

Staying awake is mandatory. Sleeping during work hours is a productivity violation. Your workstation has been fitted with industry-leading anti-sleep countermeasures: your own eyelids. Blink regularly. Coffee is provided free of charge. Consumption is monitored. Overconsumption is noticed. Not judged — noticed. The phone may ring. That is your wife. You may answer. The call will be deducted from your output. She knows this. She calls anyway. The Boss may appear behind you. When he does, work faster. This is not a threat, it is a company value. Occasionally your stamps will swap places. This is not a bug. This is a team-building exercise. Perform well and you will be PROMOTED — ten times, and you may "complete your career" (see attached form 27-B: Voluntary Existence Beyond Employment). 

Perform poorly and you will be FIRED.

Fall asleep and, honestly, we'll just be disappointed.
